FSA v Vukelic (financial reinsurance)

This was the first contested regulatory case in the UK on the acceptability of financial, or finite, reinsurance used to adjust the reported profits of corporates. The FSA imposed a prohibition on an individual responsible for a department within Gen Re which promoted financial reinsurance schemes.
